    Question Long term spore print storage?
    My FOAF is about to do his first grow ever and was going to do a invitro to chronic tek and was going all out and wanted to be able to carry on the same shroom if it turns out good(he has 4 different strains though). What would be the best way preserve for future use. Or should he clone? I don't know thats why I turned here for everyones advice. And thanks for all your help so far.

    Well depending on if you want to start more right away or just save for awile. cloning would be good if you wanted to start more. however printing would allow you to preserve life for awile.

    If you decide to clone or take a tissue culture and you can do it in a sterile environment the tissue can be stored in sterile water in a test tube or culture slant in the fridge for a few months without worry.
    But if you're going to wait a long time or really don't have a sterile place to work, then a spore print would be best.
    Being this is your first grow I'd go for the print though
    Clones need an LC to flourish in before going to any sub including cakes.
