![]() | Storing Casing Material I use 50/50+ casing. I had leftover sterilized casing material that I used to patch my trays. However, the casing material had sat in a ziplock bag for about a week prior to the patching. I also kept the bag in the frig to slow down any contams. Well during that week in the frig, trich start growing apparently. When I patched my trays I started noticing the mean green popping up. I scraped off the casing layer and it seems to have stopped the trich, luckily! Is there any way to store casing material safely?? I don't want to have to go through the trouble of PC'ing more casing material just for a sprinkle of patching here and there. Thanks for any tips. |

![]() | I just put mine in a ziplock and when I need it, I put it in a glass bowl, water it down to max capcity, and nuke for 5 minutes. Just let it cool in microwave and there you go. This works for me, but results may vary.
