Closet Heat Issues - please help

The average temperature in the closet during the day is 82,
    but occationally reads 84 degrees.
(outside temp. averages 100 in my area right now)

During the night it falls to 78 (which is what my a.c. is set to)

The only thing added has been a 10inch fan.
    Helps Circulation but not temp.

The bedroom connected to the closet is the "lung room"
which is where the closet gets its air. A fan is circulating in the beroom 24/7.

The Closet door is now left 1-2 inches open to help.

Basicaly the purpose of a fan in a closet is to push hot air out, which means the fan should be in the far corner blowing torwards the door (wich is barly open).
    is this correct?
Any ideas on how to lower the temp a little in the day time while being semi stealth.

    Thanks for the help

you can freeze bottles of water/2liters and surround you fc with them.....its alot of work , but should lower the fc a couple of degrees , or put the fc in front of the ac , but for colonings subs thats a good temp

that's just coincidence, takes longer than 3 days to go from hyphal knot to pin .

You might add a circulating fan inside the closet, a little computer fan might do.

The position and the location of the whole closet matters as well,

If it's possible put it far away from the window or the outer walls, and as low as possible (eg not on the top of an other closet)

To achive the best heat exchange put the exhaler fan on the top of the cupboard and put the inhaler holes or fans on the opposit side, to the bottom.

I have similar problems because the air exhaled from the closet top goes against the wall (the closet is in the corner on the top of an other closet) and sucked by an intake fan again.

oh and be aware that fans need power that means cables and they can be noisey.

Changeing the location for your project or declaring it as a "legal" mushroom project (with oysters or so) can be a better solution as the aboves

turn your fan direction to blow it to the closet and put a frozen water bottle in front of it. It is like a mini air conditioner. Should help some. If you keep the closet door cracked open you should still have enough FAE .... in my opinion I am just a newbie though so you would have to try it for yourself to see if it works. It did good for me at work though. Good luck.

Fresh Air Exchanges: 0 per hour.

Type of Casing: After fully run, cover with the standard casing whose preparation is described in
Chapter VIII. Layer to a depth of 1-2 inches. The casing should be balanced to an initial pH of
    6.8-7.2,

    Post Casing/Prepinning:
    Relative Humidify: 90 + %.
    Substrate Temperature: 84-86 °F.
Duration of Case Run: 5-10 days.
    CO2: 5000-10,000 ppm.

    Primordia Formation:
    Relative Humidity: 95-100%.
    Air Temperature: 74-78 °F.
    Duration: 6-10 days.
    CO2: less than 5000 ppm.
Fresh Air Exchanges: 1-3 per hour.
Light: Diffuse natural or exposure for 12-16 hours/day of grow-lux type fluorescent light high
in blue spectra at the 480 nanometer wavelength. (See Chapters IV and IX).

    Cropping:
    Relative Humidity: 85-92%.
    Air Temperature: 74-78°F.
    CO2: less than 5000 ppm.
Fresh Air Exchanges: 1-3 per hour.
    Flushing Pattern: Every 5-8 days.
Harvest Stage: When the cap becomes convex and soon after the partial veil ruptures.

If you have attic space above the closet and proper ventilation from eves or roof vents, a small hole could be cut in ceiling with an adjustable vent cover placed over it. This would cause a draw and exhaust some of the heat into the attic and out of the house. If its a rental this may not be feasible. Good luck.
