    stone isolate ?
    todayi took a sclerotia that formed on an agar plate and put only the stone on another plate. will this form alot more stones or is it just another peice of mycelium?

    The transfered stone will initially form just more mycelium but once it grows for awhile more stones should appear.

    but wouldnt that be the same story for any ms mexicana inoculation that i do? or will this one have alot more ? well after this plate is done and i use it to knock up some jars. should i only use those as stone producers and not try and fruit it for the shrooms.

    The mycelium generated from an isolated stone is potentially more productive than the random mix of strains you get from multispore. High stone production doesn't necessarily mean that it will be less likely to fruit, but there is no free lunch. You can't get highest stone production at the same time as the best mushroom production.
