fresh vs dried shrooms?

Whats your opinion about fresh mushies verses dried? Which are usually stronger or recommended?

Freshies are stronger but dried store well.

Freshies if you can. Dry em if you need to store them.

to me the fresh are just a little stronger but not really enough too matter.I just like eating them fresh cause they taste so much better than dried

well, i ate some fresh last night, of the equador cubensis... and i didn't feel a thing... this is the first time i ate mushies and i was disappointed... i ate enough, at least what i was told was enough for a first timer... do you have to eat a lot to get the effects? or is it just the strain? are the equador cubensis strong or weak?

Ecuador are considered pretty strong. How much did you eat? Are you taking any medications like SSRI's? Prozac as well as several other medications require a person to have to consume twice the amount for the same effects. 20 grams fresh and not taking any medications, you should feel something.

well i definately didn't eat 20 grams... no im not on any medications... i used to be on ambien which actually would make me trip a little (acid like) it was strange... i could see the ceiling moving, the ground would move etc. etc. but I haven't been on ambien in over a week... well i am going to try again tonight, because i really would like to try my babies...

fresh hit you a little quicker. id say a bit more potent as well.

Ok well fresh are equal to 10 X dry weight. So 20 grams fresh is about 2 grams dry and 15 grams fresh would be about 1.5 grams dry. 15 grams fresh give me a good start of a trip. 20 grams fresh and I have some really good visuals. Mostly SSRI's are the meds that will effect how much you need to take and since you're not taking any SSRI's you don't need to worry about that. If you took 10 grams fresh, that's only about 1 gram dry and a very mild dose. 15-20 grams fresh and you will be feeling it. Let us know how it goes. If you want some uncontrolled visuals I would go with at least 20 grams fresh.

20 to 30 grams of freshies should do it. I like to make orange juice blender drinks with the wets.

It takes me 1 hour to hit, give or take 10 minutes. It's usually right on the nose of about an hour. Make sure you chew them up very well, that helps a lot. Your trip should last between 4-8 hours. If you go with 15 grams fresh I would say 4 hours probably and 20 grams would probably be around 6 hours. Yeah, go with 20 grams, make sure you get a good trip. Also measure out 10 grams or so in addition so that in an hour or an hour and a half you can take the extra 10 grams if you feel like you aren't getting the full experience.

If I eat a good dose of freshies i usually feel something within 45 minutes. However they don't seem to last as long as when their dried, even though i'm pretty sure it shouldn't make a difference.

my feelings exactly.. fresh i usually taper down after about 2 or 3 hrs.. dried last a lil longer for me

Why? There's nothing wrong with drying them. Fresh will only stay good for a limited time in a paper bag in the fridge, but drying them, will keep them good for a long time. If it's potency loss that is why you wish you didn't dry yours, don't worry about it, it is pretty minimal loss as long as you dry them correctly without heat.

Great thanks for reassuring me. Ya, I was worried about potency loss. I shouldnt have dried them though because they were just picked like yesterday and fresh would have been better. I was first intending to brew tea but havent had time to get them bone dry so I guess they must be eaten!

Fresh is only slightly better, it's a very small amount that to be honest, I can't even tell. I prefer fresh because they go down easier and I hate them getting stuck in my teeth. Eating 20 grams versus eating 2 grams on the other hand is a big difference. When I eat 20 grams I feel like I'm eating a friggin meal.

Fresh=better.....

I ate 26 grams wet at 1am, a mear 2.6 dry. So they say, I tripped till 9 to 10am. The strain was b+ and pe. All I can say is wow!!!

I usually eat at least 1/4 dry for a good time but 26grams fresh fucked my world up. Again wow!!!

well i ate 20.7 g wet don't know exactly what that is dry, but.... all i could feel was all body buzz, especially in the head area (tongue, jaw) not a whole lot of visuals though... is that weird?? it was ecuador cub. let me know if thats happened to anyone else

Roughly that would equate to 2 grams dried. 20 fresh and you should have been feeling pretty good with some good visuals. Some people are more "hard-headed" than others, meaning that they just need more to get the same effects as someone who trips easily. Maybe you just need a bigger dose. I trip fairly easily and 20.7 grams of fresh is a nice dose for me. With a dose like that I will see melting, carpet moving, stuff like that. I don't get a leprechaun coming to talk to me on that dose though, for visuals like that I would definitely need to step up that dose. And whether I take 2 grams dried or 20 grams fresh, I end up with a very similar in strength trip. My usual dose is 1.5-2 grams, which is very controllable so if I need to I can talk to people without them knowing (I think without them knowing) that I am tripping. I double that dose if there aren't people around that I need to try and seem completely coherent. Often times I will do just .7-1 grams dried also. That is a very enjoyable time. Not a lot of visuals, but can really help with depression I have found.

one has to be careful.Especially with those latter ones i mentioned,

Were these shrooms from a first or second flush, or where they like a third or fourth? Cubensis will start to loose some of their potency after a few flushes. I have found that I have to eat a larger amount to get off, if the fruits are from a later flush.

thy were from the first flush i dont know if i just grew them week or what my fienci eat 22 grams wet and he just felt a lil bit not like he should have but hes been eating shrooms for a long time and he never ate fresh one and he said that it was like eating a hole mealwhe are growing eq they just seem week and are fruits are not getting that big i dont know if its to much humidty or what i felt like i could have eaten 40 grams of these shrooms hes had them befor not the ones that we grew and he said that they were pretty strong something has to be wrong can u grow them week?

Didn't you say you took some the day before with no effect? Even if you didn't feel them, they would have caused your tolerance to go up. It takes me exactly 7 days after taking mushrooms for my tolerance to go back down to zero.
