time for shrooms to mature?

I've got a cake that's been in the FC for about 11 days and has been pinning for about the last 3 days and the biggest one so far is maybe a half inch.I thought they grow much faster than this?I didn't know if this aborted or what but I've got more pins popping up.I've had a real hard time with humidity but I've been spraying the walls about t or 3 times a day.I would post some picks but my camera isn't verry clear but I might take some pics anyway.

I'm at the same spot. I put my cakes in the FC this past weekend. At that time there were two tiny pins on one cake. Most of the pins I have now just came to be last night, but I was under the impression that mushrooms just grew overnight, so I've been expecting something more than just pins. How long does it take from pin to shroom.
Another question, is it OK to spray the cakes, or are you supposed to just spray the walls?

well from my understanding you shouldn't get the cake wet due to contams and stalled growth.

I've only delt with cakes 1x. Just 2 cakes before I was off to bulk. If I remeber right maybe a week or more for em to fully mature. 2nd flush is usually fast (depending on conditons). If the caps are turning black there aborts. Pics would be good.
I've had bulk take over a week for the mushies to fully mature from seeing the first pins. Usually 2nd flush is fast 3 to 5 days for pins than 3 to 5 days for them to mature. Patents is required in this hobby.

I've found that if the temp is too high they will be much slower.
But as stated above, the 2nd and 3rd flush will be quicker.
And misting the cakes will do ore harm than good.
Just keep spraying the walls.

thanks you may have just given me my answer because my house stays at around 78 during the day and sometimes by mistake my FC reaches the 80 to 81 degree range.

I managed to get some pictures but they aren't the best.Well some of the smaller pins are starting to grow but the only two you can see are the ones that are about 5 days old.They aren't black but are verry dark brown with white marks on the cap.I found out that mycobags are best used invitro like they were intended.

I made a new FC chamber yesterday, and ran a 36" flexible bubble wand under a few inches of perlite. I think this will work better than when I had to spray, but what I found when I was putting everything back in was that all the pins were on the bottom of the cakes. I put was the top in the jar on the bottom because it was a bigger circumfrance, but apparently this area is more mature and that's where all my pins have been.

A lot of times there will be pins at the bottom [the actual top of the jar] I believe this is from the verm holding some of the more active myc before the flip, so to speak.

Here are a few shots of my new FC and how it was put together. Since I moved them to this box, they seem to be growing a lot better, and I really don't have to attend to the FC other than adding a cup of water each day. I have been letting the pump run most of the day, but don't know if that is best or not. I haven't let it run at night, but may try that tonight.
