Will these stalled pins start growing again?

I started a tub a month or so ago. When this tub was fully colonized I put in the fc. A few days later I put a casing layer on top. I left the tub in the fc. This has been the slowest tub that I have ever done. That\\\\\\\'s what I get for trying somthing new. I usually case, incubate and fruit when I see the mycelium rip through the casing layer. These pins have stalled and have looked like this for a few days now. The temps have been a little bit low so I\\\\\\\'ve moved them into my grow room. Over the past day tons of new pins have come up. If these abort it would be a huge loss. Anybody have advise to help me save the shrooms?

they look fine, just be sure to keep them at consistant temp in the mid 70's
in a few days they will be all grown up and you will be missing them baby pins lol
good luck

There is your answer(and your solution). "The temps have been a little bit low". But from what you have said, after moving them to a little warmer area... many pins.

As far as saving them... you just did. Keep them at the current temp and you will be fine.

Personally, I would reccomend a somewhat 73-75 from start to finish. Anything below 70 will take a long time to pin. Anything near or above 80 will give fewer pins and increase chances of contamination.

As far as aborts; Aborts I have found depend mostly on the strain. B+ and Aussies are great for aborts. Try some Mexicans, they work well in the above temps and are very visual, happy, and a clean come-down. Your friends will love them and will will come back for more for years to come.

You think the larger pins will grow big? They\\\'ve been there almost a week. I\\\'ve had tubs finish2 flushes while this one is still on its first. I also have a tub of creepers that finished colonizing well after my tub of malbar indias. My tub of creepers (no casing layer applyed) is a lot further along than my tub of malbar indias. Here\\\'s a pic of my creeper tub. (Both tubs were under the same conditions)

eh...i'd go on and harvest them. If they have been that size for that long, they probably won't grow anymore. There could be a lack of moisture there to sustain growth. Also you could just pick one and if it's soft you know for sure they are aborting.

After picking them, i'd rehydrate and try to fruit it again.

Well I just picked one of the lil mushies and its hard. Don\'t think there aborting but this is very abnormal for these shrooms to still be here without aborting. I\'ve grown a lot of shrooms over this past year and they don\'t look like aborts.
As far as rehydrating this tub. I dunked a tub of nepal chitwans that were in the exact same kind of set up, 20quart tub lined with a black trash bag. After the dunk the 2nd flush was quick but I ended up haveing water pool in the bottom of the trash bag preventing a 3rd flush. Water runed my sub. This is my first time lineing my tubs with a trash bags anybody have sugestions on how to rehydrate this sub? I was thinking of filling the tub with water and getting the bag out of there and dunking for 5 hrs. I would have to deal with my sub pinning from the sides whicj is beter than ruining my sub with pooling water. For the people who line there tubs with a trash bag, what the best way to get the water out of there with out breaking up the sub?
