![]() | what up everyone? so this summer i started out on a new journey to learn how to grow Panaeolus Cyanescens, after pretty much perfected growing Cubensis (in my opinion). unfortunately, my summer was wasted due to nasty looking green mold forming every time i tried to put it in the fruiting chamber. i followed the instructions on *outsourced link removed *can anyone tell me where i went wrong? i used popcorn. or just any suggestions.. |

![]() | I'm not sure where you went wrong, but you may have better luck with this tek : http://forums.mycotopia.net/exotic-m...-cyan-tek.html (Waylit's Pan cyan Tek) |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Mold spores are proly getting in, when you transfer the spawn to the sterile Sub bags.. I would not use that method without a glove box or flow hood, just too risky.. Instead, i would just pasteurize the sub ,mix in the spawn and don't incubate more than 3 days @80F.. |

![]() | maybe following a tek from the shroomery is where u went wrong? just kidding, you really have given no information for us to help you on. so, pans on what? grain? poop? cakes? details sir/mam so popcorn was your spawn medium, pans really don't do well on popcorn. I suggest rye grain or seed... what was your substrate? |

![]() ![]() | I had to remove that link ... We have excellent pan cyan grow info here. Top of the line. We can't vouch for that linked stuff. Its not in our body of work. Thanks for being understanding on this. ![]() http://forums.mycotopia.net/exotic-magic-mushrooms/

![]() ![]() | Good enough Golly ... Thanks. My apologies Blaque , generally we have a policy where we discourage linking to threads and teks at the Shroomery because of the reasons I listed above (and a few others) but there are exceptions. Can you post that link again for us ?

![]() | Pasteurizing is where you only heat it up to 160-170.F and it only kills competing growth. It leaves beneficial microbes in the substrate. this only really applies to poo and straw (maybe some other subs that im not aware of also). I don't think there are any beneficial organisms in brf or most grains. Sterilizing is where you cook it to kill everything. and If it's always 80, then you won't need an incubator. but make sure you incubate in a dark place. |
