    ABORTS???

    i was just wondering what the main cause of aborts are. i think low humidity is the problem in this case. i usually birth and dunk but i skipped the dunk this time thruogh and think the cakes dried out as a result.......

    If you didn't dunk this go around then lack of moisture would likely be the cause of the aborts. Not enough to sustain growth.

    If you innoculated from a multispore syringe, you will get aborts from the substrain competition; and low humidity and/or lack of moisture also weigh in heavily. Aborts are very strong, so always save them.
