![]() | I recently had great success with a grow kit from "homestead" i had great luck with the Cambodian strain . My small apartment was the right temp the entire time of the grow 70 to 80 degrees. I need to know how I create a small affordable grow chamber that i can regulate the temp of though out the winter. I am just using the simple grow/spawn bag method it worked great for me and now i am hooked I cant wait til next summer to plant again any advice would be greatly appreciated |

![]() | For an incubator for your jars or a fruiting chamber? FC doesn't need to be above 75 with high RH, generally speaking, but for an incubator- it depends on what works for you. Best to make sure it has some sort of a temperature control to it; I used a heating pad against one of the walls of a rubbermaid tub. It has various temp settings, keeping it on "2" keeps incubator right at 82. Some folks make a heatbomb or a straight-up TiT. Others use the reptile rock, just make sure that when you first use it, to keep an eye on the temp (keeping a thermometer in there) to make sure it doesnt get too high.

also make sure there are absolutely no fire hazards with what you do. What temperature do you keep your home in the winter? Most people's houses are a little warmer in the winter then in the dead of summer. I use electric central heat and air, in the winter, my place is about 80*F all day long, the summer, like 65-70*F, weird huh? you would think we'd like the exact same temp year round. If you heat your home and it stays at 75 or above, i don't see a need in building a heated incubator, just place your jars inside an opaque tub until 100% then use as spawn. Ironically they love to fruit at the exact same temp. Frequent air exchange is your biggest concern. | |
