what have you had success with when steaming instead of PCing?

and what haven't you? this will hopefully become a good list people can quickly look to to see if then can steam what they have or what to get if all they want to do is steam something. even if you can use a steamer for part of your sub mix. for instance, if you have steamed coir then mixed it with manure you pasturized in an oven bag, let us know. thanks

i've had great success with half pint brf/verm jars in a veggie steamer. 90 mins in there and no problems at all

Tried steaming twice and I have only ever had 2 contams and it from steaming. Works for some not for others.

Picked a small PC up quite cheap and never had a contam with it, most important piece of eqiptment in my opinion, you should invest in one you wont be let down.

...I used fractional sterilization on half-pint PF jars (in an Extremely Dirty environment!) and had no problems with contamination!!!

i'm on my first grow and out of the 5 i steamed, none got contams.

I steamed 12 jars and they all ended up with bacteria infections, but I got one to fruit. Got a new PC so this shouldnt happen again.

I have had great success with fractional sterilization..

rye grass seed, wild bird seed..

A few contams, but methinks those were from reasons besides my sterilization.

I will say that it is a HUGE pain in the ass, and makes a PC seem alot cheaper everytime you do it.
