Honey/corn syrup LC

This LC is only 3 days old
It 400 ml;s water and 1 teaspoon of honey/corn syrup
I found this is a Grocery stoore and thought I would try it and it looks like it worked out very very well as you can see
This first pic is of the Honey/syrup mix and the Second is the LC itself
The LC is Ban Hou Thanon

at first, well, there wasn't a pic, thanks for the pm!

second, i was like 3 days old, it's probably yeast, but that doesn't look like yeast!
that looks like healthy myc in 3 days.

Did you use mutlispore to make that LC? I know you said it was Ban Hou Thanon but you never elaborated how you came across the culture, multispore, agar wedge, etc,

if it's multispore, did you use a "wet" spore print to make a syringe? Meaning, a very very freshly printed Ban Hou Thanon specimen, like, make a print then directly to syringe, and then not even an hour later put to LC?

Doing that, is the only way i've been able to get a healthy LC that fast.
Fresh wet prints to LC, making the LC just a few hours after harvesting the wet print.

No actually it was made from a dry spore print that was givein to me from eastwood. I made the syringe on monday at like 5 and made the LC using 1 cc of SS and today its growing like this. Not to bad man HUH. This honey/corn syrup seems to work very very well. I will keep this posted. Even though I am not a fan of grow logs this I will keep updated.

Of course I will. Oh this LC was also sterlized in the oven at 300 degrees for 50 minutes. The jar was put in with oven cold then allowed to cool for 20 or so minutes then put in fridge and once nice and cool it was knocked up and then into the IC.

Wow so a reg normal print, how long did the print hydrate in a syringe before using it?
I tend to let mine sit about 24 hours..

and yes, please keep it updated because it may prove to be a veracious strain, i'd like to see it consume substrate's and spawn materials!

Actually I made the syringe at 5:00 and then kocked up the LC at 6:30 or so before I drank the Trich Bridgesii tea.

thats a lot of myc for 3 days, mine looked like that after about 10 days using karo/tater water! Except for golden teacher which took off like CRAZY cant wait to see how it grows on popcorn!

well I used karo and had decent success, I used honey and had good success. I used honey and vanilla and had decent growth but, it stalled, same for kayo and vanillia, but, I decided to try both and it so happens I found this mixture of both and man let me tell ya this shit rocks, I honestly haven't ever had suck phenomal growth in such a short time from 1 cc of ss. I actially made 2 LC from the same mixture and thet both look almost the same so I think i have found My LC mixture. Amazing the honey and corn syrup would work so well. The Next LC will be Pan Cambogenis and well will see how the pans like it as pans are my favorite mushies aside from the azures.

Here another LC I made of Thia Pink buffalo. Same configuration as the above LC it was knocked up with 1 cc of SS WED evening which makes it about 36 hours old

I tried LC only the once using honey and water but it went yellow and foggy so was really hard to tell if I had healty mycelium. There were a few specs in it to start of with from the honey maybe or the from where the honey had caramelized in the PC. After about 2 weeks there was definatly some growth but didn't look like myc really looked like weird sediment so I chucked it.

Will try again soon now I have seen this thread it's gave me a insperation. Nice one Irishlion

No as I stated above I have tried many many LC configurations utilizing potato water, malt, vanillia, you name it I have probally tried it. This is the first configuration I have seen that shows such amazing growth in 3 seperate LC's. So they say it take 3 times to really prove something so IMHO this configuration of LC has proved itself to me. I am not sure why the combination of the honey and corn syrup works so well but, as you can see it really does.
