cold water extract?

has anyone done a cold water extract using acidic water, letting the fungal material sit for a few hours?

I have not heard of anyone doing it but that does not mean a whole lot. Only one way to find out. If it does not work well you can always drink the water then eat the shrooms so there should not be a waste of goodness.

as dial8 said, only one way to find out.

some things to consider tho.

1. cold extractions take longer, typically a couple of weeks. I've seen 3 weeks proposed as a common length of time.

2. this length of time is fine for alcohol extractions as the psilly doesn't tend to degrade, unlike like water which doesn't preserve the magic.

3. I'm guessing for those reasons that's why peeps do tea with water and cold extractions with alcohol.
