![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Has anyone around here used a CO2 sensor and controller to control a fruiting chamber I would like to build an automated fruiting chamber able to fruit four or five tubs. I have built a chamber that can hold 2 tubs. I have been able to control the temperature. I have not been able to control humidity and fresh air so well. Has anyone around here used the Mushroom Climate's AS310e CO2 Sensor/Controller for high humidity applications found at mushroomclimate.com If so was what were the results. Yours truly, MN#1.

Looks very interesting, but very expensive. $400 for the high humidity model is .This is completely unnecessary for the more commonly grown species as just giving adequate FAE is enough. There are species that are harder to grow with a much narrower CO2 range. What are you planning on growing? For a fruiting chamber able to do 4-5 tubs, people have had good success with the Martha fruiting chambers. Blessings, Oakchild 8-) |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks Has any one posted anything about CO2 sensors and controllers? I have tried to search here for related post but have not found any. While searching for information, about the CAP CO2 sensor and controller, with Google. I opened several pages so that I could read one page while one page loads. A dialog window popped up saying that I need to load some ActiveX components I got suspicious because I just updated everything on this computer. I tried to cancel and close the windows and my system started getting logy so I unplugged my computer from the telephone line. Yeah I still have a dial up connection. Looked at my Processes running in My Windows Task Manager and saw that there were several programs running that are not supposed to be there. I stopped them. I did a search for all files or folders created or modified in the last hour. I found a new folder named Antivirus 2009 full of .exe’s I deleted that folder. When I rebooted I found that my Microsoft virus program was gone and my firewall had been disabled and my firewall had been turned off. My Internet Explorer would not connect. My homepage had been redirected. I then did a system restore and everything seems to be working except my antivirus. What did I learn, this Antivirus 2009 Trojan loader is some bad ass. All I did was click on a link and it tried to bitch slap my computer. ![]() Yours truly, MN#

Please pardon my oncoming rant / lecture. And forgive me for going , but I really feel this needs to be said. Probably would go better in the http://forums.mycotopia.net/resist-rebel/ forum.Okay, here it is: Not to be an OS zealot / evangelist, but I don't understand why anyone who cares about security and anonymity is still using Windows. And in particular, I don't understand why people still run IE on Windows. Internet Explorer is the second largest viral entry route into your Windows machine (Outlook and Outlook express being the first largest hole). If you must run Windows, I beseech you to at least use Firefox or Opera for your web browser, and webmail or Thunderbird for your email client! If you really value your privacy and security, I highly recommend you take Ubuntu for a spin. At the very least buy a spare hard drive (~$40) and dual boot your machine. Keep windows for games and any software you absolutely need Windows for, and run Linux for your general day to day computing activities. Also, OSX is a pretty stable and secure OS. Still not as bullet proof as Linux or BSD, but pretty good none the less. BTW: People here might find this little bit of info useful in general. Some people I go to school with (Computer Science Majors), found a trivial javascript exploit that affects all web browsers by using the "Feature" that causes links that have already been clicked on to change color. With a very small amount of javascript any website can enumerate a list of URLs and know if you have been to any of those URLs. This is a bug which will likely never be patched as you either have to disable javascript or remove the color changing of URLs that you have already read (Which people would really scream about if that happend). This makes another very good case for running Firefox as you can at least install a plugin called "NoScript" which will allow you to selectivly allow javascript for only sites that you explicitly trust to run scripts on your computer. Not sure what this thread is about at this point, so I'm not sure if I'm off-topic or not, but here goes: My take on the CO2 thing for small grows (anything taking place in bins as opposed to dedicated fruiting rooms) is that maintaining 3-5 air exchanges per hour eliminates any need for CO2 sensing. Cycling the humidification system 3-5 times an hour for however many minutes it takes to fill the bins with fog (indicating a complete air exchange) is easily accomplished with a repeat-cycle timer aka interval timer.

.This was pretty much my opinion as well. For smaller grows CO2 sensors are not necessary. Blessings, Oakchild 8-) | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Anyone with any experience with CO2 controllers. I am trying to find out if anyone hear has any experience with any PPM CO2 sensor, controller similar to the SensAir sold by mushroomclimate.com. How can I find out the reputation of this company? What would be the considerations of such a setup? I hope that this is not an improper question. In response to my off topic meandering. I was just trying to relate the difficulties of finding out relative information. I think it is kind of sad that even on a Google or Yahoo search for CO2 sensors you will get nothing but attacks and porn. Thanks oakchild for the OS advise but I really do not have the time to change systems at this time. I will just have to stay away from those CO2 sensor, controller, porno sites. Yours truly, MN#1.
