![]() | stats on new grow... and a lil new mixin
hello all... k so I started a new grow like 17 days ago.. bring In the new year I guess... B+ strain. 1/2 pint jars.. 8 filled with brf and verm (most fully colonized in 10 days. all colonized fully by day 13). 1 jar filled with verm and ground up wbs (colonized 100 percent in 10 days). last jar filled with wbs and ground up wbs (barely half way colonized.. but the mycelium looks far better than the other jars).. I cased one jar into two 8 oz tupperwares lined with foil and pulled 3 colonized jars for light exposure.. been busy an th operation isn't at my house due to roomy issues so yeah I'm slacking a lil.. anyone else use ground wbs with success?

![]() | is that a no?
it was all incubated at 79f and did 1 shake half way through.. I've never had full colonized jars this fast.. the best I did before was 20 days twice my recent push.. come on people someone has had to try ground up wbs...??? yes no? I was grinding the brown rice and was thinking why not try to grind some seeds up... I picked all the sunflower seeds out though... don't trust em...

ground wbs is less nutritious than ground rice so with the limited space of a 1/2 pint jar [less the dry vermiculite barrier] few opt to reduce the nutes as there is no benefit. we do have a few reports from folks who do it but nothing notable about the results, often just slower to colonize and harder to sterilize. |

![]() | hmm
yeah I can see the slow growth with the wbs with ground wbs.. the one I did with verm was the fastest to colonize out of all the jars.. I did use more ground wbs than I did brf so maybe that's why?... I am impressd at the look of the mycelium growing on the wbs wbsf mix.. is still barely half way colonized but wow its so thick, white, and yummy looking.. I've never had mycelium grow so rich usually reminds me of cobweb as its taking over the jar. now I'm having issues abou temp for the row chamber I used to just use the second lid or my incubator with a window cut out and plexi glass siliconed in place.. just had to lower the temp from 80 to like 72.. anyways sorry for the ramble. thanks for reading
