![]() | Crazzzy idea twist on a fruiting chamber.
I had a thought, shrooms like fae and oxygen. So I took a tub and sealed it air tight except for two holes drilled for aquarim air lines (an input and output). I bought a 10 gal air pump, took it apart and drilled the intake port out to accept a 1/8 nipple to hook up the air line to. Then I got a baby food jar/lid drilled 2 hole in the lid (inlet/outlet) I filled the jar approx. half full with 3% peroxide and connected the hoses so it would pull fresh air thru the jar and pump it into the fruitting chamber and excape thru the outlet hose of the chamber. My thoughts are that any contams will be destroyed in the peroxide and turned into oxygen for my babies. I keep approx 2" of water/perlite in the bottom of the tub with a ss rack mounted 2" above the water/perlite mix. I use an aquarim heater for heat and the air pump hooked to an airator block in the water/perlite mix. I'm able to maintain 72 deg @ 90% RH. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I dont think the H2O2 will produce O2 for too long or keep clean for very long either, maybe a couple hours of use. Not trying to disapoint you, but keep in mind, when the H2O2 is spent then you just have standing water when the pump is off. I think just filtering the air with a decent filter (polyfill, tyvek, small hepa, coffee filter etc.) will do the trick. |
