questions!: blue light, perlite, air exchange

1. There is a light on the fan in my incubator:

There is a fan to circulate the warm air, didn't see that it was led.
Will the blue led effect the growth of mycelia?
It can be can removed if necessary.

2. I just noticed that the perlite I am planning on using is "enriched with miracle grow".
Will this have a detrimental effect on the terrarium environment?

3. Wondering about method for air exchange in Terrarium tub.
The plan was to have casting sitting on a wire rack over bleach water and perlite, with an aquarium air pump under the water. (mimicking step 2 of the BB-Tek)
Is this a "good" - have people used it and had desired results- setup.
Will holes and polyfill suffice?
Could I use both?

Thank you much

1) the light won't make any difference.

2) miracle grow shouldn't matter unless you plan on having your casing sitting ON the perlite, which would
be an odd thing to do

3) I usually just fan manually, so I'm not much help there.

1. First off Soliver is right, but, IMO I would disable the light in incubation if possible. Causes invitro fruiting, which isn't bad just may not be what you want.

2. Soliver is right as always.

3. I have used the air pump under perlite. I didn't like it, the air stone kept getting clogged, then you had to check the pump, build a "clean chamber" for the air pump, lots of hassle. Now it's 4 holes on each side of the tub with micropore tape and an oscillating fan going. So far so good for me.

Hope this helps ya!
