![]() | big n meaty strains?
im looking to start some new LC jars that will produce some big meaty zoomers!! the plan is then to clone from the meatiest and produce even meatier!! so im looking for 3 strains that will produce this. my first pic is the Golden teacher as i've seen a few good pics of big meaty shrooms on here of that strain. any other recommendations? |

I'd suggest trying PFC (PF Classic) or PE's (Penis Envy). Both are very dense meaty strains. Both should take good to cloning. | |

like doobydoo said the PE strains are the most solid. I have found the APE to be the heaviest and thickest, and same with the Malabars. GT, Palenque, Taz, SA tend to have hollow stems. each to their own, just start growing different strains and experiment, you never know what the DNA will produce.

k so im going with malabars aswell.. just the description on the ************************************ website says what im looking for; "These can get fairly large in the wild. Unique cap that appears flat on top before the cap opens up. Stems are fairly thick, definatly dense, and meaty." so there's 2.. SA and Malabar... i need 1 more good one! |

ive ordered off sporeworks a couple times and my last purchase resulted in 5 spore syringes that didnt produce anything at all!!!!! nothing!!! i tried injecting LC's, rye jars, pf tek jars.. nothing grew not even contaminants, until after a month or so of nothing else. so i thought its time to try a new vendor. |

LC - mix karo and water to 4% sugar. put in jars. put lids on jars with silicon injection ports. pressure cook 30 minutes at 15psi. let cool and inject using airport. rye - soak rye berries 24 hours. after soak drain, rinse, then simmer in water for 20 minutes. drain and put in jars with 1 silicon port and 1 tyvek covered hole for fae. pressure cook 45 mins. let cool and inject with spores. pf tek - mix brf and verm and water and put in jars. put a layer of dry verm on top. put lids on with 4 injection holes. pc for 45 minutes. let cool and inject with spores. i've injected spores into many jars many times and gotten results using the exact same methods!! just with this last batch of syringes i got i got NO results with any attempt i tried! its just like all the spores were dead. dunno if it was a problem with freezing / thawing in the shipping process or what, but i know FOR SURE it was not an error on my part. if it was an error on my part i woulda atleast got some contams or something. after all, i had 5 syringes to use, which i did a seperate batch of jars up for each syringe... and every time they all failed. ended up in like 5 failed attempts. first attempt was LC which failed, then i tried a batch of rye jars which failed, then i tried the pf tek as i was thinking wow i gotta go back to basics here.. and when that failed i said fuck it its not me its the spores. |

didn't say you were a retard friend. Said there might have been a fuck up in your tek. It happens, if you took offense to my trying to help then I apologize and will step out.

kk, no prob. Just thought I had insulted you, never my intention. Definately PM workman, that's your first step. Damn good guy there. Next: Did your syringes ever get too hot? I've had spores sit in minus 10 degrees weather and they came back ok. Anything over a 100 degrees outside and I've had 'em die after sitting to long in a mailbox/car etc. Other than that your tek seems solid, how many cc's of solution did you use per jar? That's the only thing I can think of. Unless they got screwed up in the mail somehow. I can understand the irritation at something like this happening, good god can I understand it. My first grow attempt was shit bought from university scientific and another company that shall go unnamed (PM me if ya wanna know.) They were a rip-off, sponsors have never done me wrong period. If there is a problem they will work there asses off to fix it for ya.

i figured it was something to do with the temperature in the shipping... when i picked them up from the mailing center i remember the package being ice cold. i dont think they ever got too hot tho. alot of people say that the spores can stand cold temps like that but aparently mine didnt.. or it was something else. i just sent that guy workman a pm.. we'll see what happens. thnx oh and for the lc's i used 3ml of soultion per jar and made 3 jars out of penis envy... and for the rye jars i used about 2ml per jar, and the pf teks i used 1ml per jar |

Not that your wrong by any means, but I have found a little less spore water in an LC actually encourages more growth. I now use about .5cc for mine. I'll post a pic of 'em here later for ya to see. Best 'o luck friend, truly hope it works out for ya. Also be patient on a reply from workman, he is busy most all the time but he will hit you back when he is able.

I have to agree with pe and peu. APE didn't do much as far as size goes when I tried it, but genetics can vary so much from print to print and syringe to syringe. I would also recommend ksss. That strain produces some short and extremely fat fruits. You should also check out eatyualives burma grows. He grew some freakishly large fruits with that strain. OI is another obvious one when grown on quality poo or compost. Really any strain can be made to grow large if you find the right genetics through isolations and cloning. The quality of the substrate makes a big difference too.

Mmm, sorry Potato, didn't mean to insult your practices, they seem pretty solid. In the past I've done well by Sporeworks, so I figured they've got a good rep by me, forgive me for assuming you to be inexperienced, but so many low posters here are. Being said, I'm sure Workman will comply/deal with your complaint... in time
