check this out...
these two pins popped out of nowhere.
i have had this hippie bags going for a while now. (B+)
yesterday i didn't see anything on this bag and tonight when i got home there were two pins that are at least an inch long and they are growing off the side of the bag... far from the substrate!
hard to get a good picture of but i like the one were you can see the myc reaching and branching like dentrites...

I've had a long time fantasy, that someone would clone a mushroom like this.. and continue selectively breeding the weirdness that allows such defying feats.

We seriously need a magic that can grow off concrete or garbage.

Fungus growing from plastic is a very good start

i've seen this happen in a some of my wbs quarts that i never got around to using.
they sat for months, and one day i looked at them and saw like a net of growth
coming off of the glass wall above the surface of the grain with some pins.

the thing that blows my mind is how big the mushrooms are in relationship to how far off the surface they are. these bag got put in a tub without a lid on top of the fridge... I think they may be reaching too hard for light. I hope to see some grow directly on the substrate. I moved the tub this morning so that it is under a skylight... they will move back to the fridge top at night....
