How Do You Dunk A Mono Tub?

So a FOAF has a mono tub going and hoping to be done in a week or two, but we cannot find any post on how to dunk a mono tub. Here is a pic of how it is now. Note we did not put a trash bag at the bottom of the container, mistake?

I look through the archives but somehow don't see all the threads there are because I thought I looked pretty hard for a thread on this subject too and was having a hard time finding any.
