Leeching horse manure?

I'v gone and bough composted horse dung. Does this need to bee leeched or is it enough to paseurize it and drain off the liquid?

Well just to be on the safe side I always like to give manure a little bleach soak for at least a few hours up to as much as 24hrs,rinse it then pasteurize it.But you may not have too with your poo???

im doing an experiment right now making some more food for my fungal friends. i took some nice feild picked dry horse poo re hydrated it and added BRF to it. i am fractionaly steralizing/pasturizing it in the microwave. i get it extreamly hot but not hot enough to melt the ziplock its in. i wrap it in blankets and put in a cooler. 12+ hr later its still fairly hot atleast above 140. i am repeating the nukings 4 times every 24 hr. if it dosent contam ill use it with 3lbs of rye berry spawn in a monotub. i didnt soak in bleach, leach the stuff or anything. it was compleatly dry and had a deep earthy smell, no stinky poo poo smell.

if it's properly composted
it should be ready to go without leaching

Well I't basically looks like dirt but has a different consistency and it smells like dirt so it should be composted right?

Also, does horse manure often contain trich spores when you buy it in a bag?
I'v used this to spawn 4 small trays and all died of trich. could this be the cause?

If it looks and smells like dirt, it's composted.

The trich is due to your pasteurization practices, as EVERYTHING that
sits outside for longer than a few minutes has trich on it, especially
something warm and moist (like poop).

BTW- a lot of "commercial" manure has other additives in it that aren't poo at all,
dirt, sand, who knows what. Your best bet is getting it right from the horse's anus.

I get my manure from the stable where we keep our horse so it's basically straight from the butt^^

And I thought pasteurisation didn't kill trich spores? Thought I needed to autoclave the sheit to get rid of the trich spores. At what temp. do they die?

Hope it helps
