![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Slow Ecuadorian Growth
You read it, slow the growth of the country, its getting too big! Seriously though, I have 12 PF brf style jars that I inoculated w/ eq... they sit alongside another 12 jars inoculated w/ the amazonian strain.. Both innoculated @ the same time The amazon's are nearly completely colonized, whereas a number of the EQ's have only dime sized myc growth @ inoculation sites..some no growth at all. The verm/brf/water mixture was done as one large batch, and thoroughly mixed...so I dont see it being an issue of disproportion of ingredients.. The syringes were purchased at sporeworks, so I'd doubt it being a case of poopy spores Are the EQ's slow myc growers? It's been somewhere in the vicinity of 2 weeks if that's relevant Do they not like BRF? |

some strains are slower than others. thats just the way it is. eq is inconsistent if you ask me. it sometimes grows fast. but then it will fruit really slow. just wait it out. it may be very slow. but you have growth. thats a good sign. and yes it took 2 extra weeks for the spawn to be ready sitting side by side with 3 other strains.

im farely new to mushrooms but i think you prob. is that some types of mushrooms enjoy the envierment you provide better then others one may love the jars you have others *do* but not as much plus some mushrooms are super fast others are super slow you all so have to look at where your jars are placed some jars might get more light then others allso is you have a ton of jars in a warm place the middle jars might be warmer or colder |

FOAF has had 4 pints of BRF TEK EQ's incubating for a lil over a month now at about 98% full colonization. EQ's are stubborn but I bet the wait will be very much worth it!!! FOAF says once they start showing signs of mycelium it spreads fast and the strands are thick and eager.

Right on, thanks for the input fella's. I'm sure your right nokie, some strains will thrive in a certain environment, whereas others will lag. I figured as much. Thanks eatyu, that's exactly what I was wondering. Same goes for your response sh1, that's the perfect response to what I was asking. Thanks for the info! I wasn't overly concerned, just curious. The amazonian strain sure is dope though! We'll see how the fruits come out |
