![]() | freshly cased bulk question?
I cased a poo substrate just 24 hours ago... would my pinset be drastically reduced if I just went on and induced fruiting conditions as opposed to letting it run through the casing another day or so? real thin casing, maybe 1/4 inch 70/30 coarse verm/perlite any suggestions? I normally let colonize for a while, but not sure this is the best from the archive material ive been reading. |

IME though when the tub is immediately cased it cuts down on time by a bit.

well, I went ahead and put it to the FC one day after casing, so I guess I'll see what occurs. I'm thinking I'm already liking it better. seems the mycellium really likes it. ive never done any controlled experiments either way myself. always just let it colonize the casing really well, but im thinking currently it just defeats the whole purpose of the casing altogether and makes the mycellium expel more energy when it could be using that energy to fruit. im expecting pins fairly quicker than normal for multispore, just from how the casing and mycellium look currently. I'll have a log up soon enough. thanx everyone. |
