Awwww... Thanks Funny1. I always thought a 4" cap was pretty cool but the stem length is important too. I'm working on that .

Nice cap size !!! What type of bag did you use to make the log?

I was thinking of using an oven bag to try the log tek out myself!!

Hey Restart, i just used a Two gallon myco-bag but an oven bag will work as well. I have had great luck with the bail of straw i bought some two years ago. One bail can produce literally thousands of mushies. Just keep straw away from moisture. Gluck

Okay so I have the ability to get alot of straw bales, BUT, it a big but they have been out side all winter and most of the summer. Question is if I pasterize it is it still going to work or should I just go and purches some bales?

I'd avoid those. You should be able to find fresh bales like white on rice this time of year.
