![]() | ![]() Ive read that some strain of pan need a cold temp to fruit.I always thought these can be done in the winter time slick and smooth with good outcomes. Is there any possible way that someone knows that there is one type or type of pans that dont need these temps. Is there a pan that fruits like a cubie, I think this thread would be really awesome and would help others gather a thing or two about a shrot portion of a learn. |

Panaeolus don't need cold, they actually prefer it to be a lil warmer or the same as cubes even, in SWIM's experience. Maybe you're thinking of Psilocybe cyanescens or azurescens.. They are woodlovers and need cold to fruit. Most pans fruit like cubes, but they definitely prefer dung to other subs. SWIM likes straw and dung for Panaeolus substrate, but one can start them on pf style cakes or any grain, then spawn them to the sub you choose.

panaeolus cyanscens i think is the easiest one to do inside. ive been looking into this recently and watcha is right they do well on a straw poo mix. the only differences i have found in ppls fruiting method is the bulk sub is only 1.5"-2" deep and requires a thin 1/4" casing in order to perform. they also seem to require a little more FAE, i have no personal experience with them so anybody feel free to correct me.
