![]() ![]() ![]() | Casing to FC: When?
How much rhizomorphic growth should one see through the casing before removing the foil and introducing the cased substrate-in-tray to the fruiting chamber? It's been two days (the usual recommended time) and I'm seeing multiple spiky white blooms on top of the coir casing.

If you're incubating your casing, it's a good idea to patch the first few bits of mycelium that poke through the casing layer. Then leave it for another day or two and see if it's coming in more evenly. The more even your casing is run through, the more likely it is that you'll get a nice, even flush. |
