![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Water to wbs ratio
I used to have some exact measurements written down way back when for exactly how much water and wbs to put in pint jars for pressure cooking. I hate soaking the wbs because sometimes i have to work too much and they get over soaked for damn near 4 days and the stench is atrocious, like olives and feces mixed together. I wont even clean those jars out i just put .40 in them out in the county. It is costing me money on jars, and grain =[ and ammo ![]() I use both half pint and pint jars for wbs spawn can anyone help me out?

Four days? Yeah, that's a bit of a stretch. I've had things to come up, leaving them soaking for a couple of days and that made them stink bad enough so I couldn't imagine an extra two. I don't know of a precise ratio and it doesn't matter so much. Just pour in more water than you have seed- in a bowl, I usually add about an inch more. Let it soak overnight- or- if you can bring some water to a boil, dump in the seed, remove from the stove, put on a lid, and let it steep for a good 1-2 hours. It absorbs just as much water, so you can soak, strain and put in the PC all in a part of an evening.

He wants instant wbs recipe with no soaking. Well its about 30-40% moisture that needs tobe added to get them to about 48% moisture. Personally I just usea 5 gal bucket, pour inhot water tobarelycover the seed and dump in boiling water every 15 minutes a few times. Then just dump it out onto a s creen in the yard and drain it good.

hola here's something xerimyco posted in an old grow log of mine (see PESA strainbase in vaults if you are interested). i have never used this method myself, but it seems it would work well. the water is added directly to the wbs in the jars without a presoak. Quote:
