What's my next step (WBS mixed w/hpoo & coir)? (pic)

Here is a sub i mixed 8 days ago. I mixed 1/2 pint colonized WBS with hpoo & coir that i pasteurized. Obviously, it's an uneven colonization going on. I have read where some people patch. I have not cased the sub yet. Wasn't planning on it unless necessary or advisable to do so. I have it stored at 82 degrees. The myc actually tuck to the top of the lid there in the center. You can kind of see it if you look closely.

Should i just stick in the FC. I haven't built one for this yet...having just messed with cakes so far.

Anyway, what's my next move here?

The next step is to let it finish colonizing, when the whole thing is white bro then pop er into the FC.

Do i need to be concerned with "overlay"? Not that i even know what the hey it is, i just read where it can happen if myc is allowed to grow continuously.

Also, should i be concerned with myc bumping up against lid?

concerned with it yeah, but, usually only in casings as that doesn't look like overlay to me just standard colonization, what species are you growing, I am assuming cubie, if so then no casing required also, will help if you pop a couple holes in the lid and cover them either with a coffee filter or filter patch or some good porous tape like 3m micropore or atheltic med tape works really well so the mycelium can breath.

They don't need much Fae at this stage but, they do need some.
