rock salt for drying?

Getitosis fallible learner Join Date: Apr 2009 Posts: 229	rock salt for drying? would rock salt be a desiccant? or is it the opposite of that? can one use rock salt in the bottom of a sealed container to dry mushrooms after the initial fanning? just wondered if anyone's tried it? no luck in the archives.
