rock salt for drying?

would rock salt be a desiccant?

or is it the opposite of that?

can one use rock salt in the bottom of a sealed container to dry mushrooms after the initial fanning?

just wondered if anyone's tried it? no luck in the archives.

It might work. Try it out & report your results. I use damprid after faning for two days.
