Dark Stems After Drying

So my grow ATM has to be fairly stealth, and I haven't had a chance to make a stealth pc-fan drying box of sorts...

So anyways, I use a lasagna pan type thing w/ damprid to dry my boomies.

So far they all get cracker dry in 3-4 days, I slice the bigger stems down the center to aid a full dry.

Anyways, a few of them turned very dark...the stem that is. I mean the others are a nice white with some blueing, they look PERDY.

Should I be concerned w/ a few randomly really dark outliers? They weren't handled any differently, although they might have been some of the really fat based ones.

its all good. dont stress it, bluing is what they do.

just make sure its not black rot.

BTW eating your own fruits is amazing. So much better than street purchased! The entire grow is totally a part of the journey

Well if the black dark blue w/e rubs off the shroom then you should not consume or share

mold or slime are fairly obvious to most,
and yeah, that'll wash off.
which is a good idea anyway,
washing any fresh just cleans .

Some spores on the stems will cause them to look almost black and that washes off. SO good advice hip, for those who dont/cant stand the taste of spores....Or if you let your project go a little longer than planned and it drops purple/black spores all over. It aint mold but dont look as appealing as a white or slightly blue stem.

And yes i've eaten black shrooms before, well they looked black. But i guess it was bluck...blue/black.

if they are blackish, and smell really strong like sweet almost , then they are rotting. It happens to SWIM all the time when he grows massive amounts, he tends to just toss the blackish ones that smell sweet and pungent.
