![]() | invitro question :)
hey this might sound a bit strange but i just want to be extremely sure of what im doing before i start i just wanted check a few things if any of the expieranced growers could help clear it up for me it would decent THanks! im growing in my cuboard so ive got a space of 44 cm hieghand 22 cm with... so i thought i would go with an invitro grow(i only understand the brf tek well its the only one i learnt,, the wbs i think its called looks realy sick tho want to try that soon!) anyways is it better when growing invitro to leave the colinized substrate in the jar and just scrape the top verm layer off when fruiting? or is it better to remove the cake dunk for 12 hours then place them in a slightly larger jar or maybe a glass vase with a plastic rap top cover with a bit of wet perlight at the botom any advice guys....? shot! peace |

![]() for starters you have to remember, stick to what works! when you have your technique down and have plenty of stash around you will not only know your shit better but you will also have the slack in case you fail. i never had much success with wbs till recently but anyway you may want to look into the Chronic Tek its a variation of invitro and can be found in the invitro teks section of the Old "Archives" which is located within the "deep knowledge" section of the site. dont rest cakes directly on perlite or towels the chronic tek (<--click link!) outlines a method very similiar to what u describe. worth checking out. theres a shortcut above to the glossary entry for the tek | |

I agree with not resting the cake right on the perlite. My friend used to take the jar lid and band and place it upside down on the perlite, fill it with verm and moisten it, then put verm on the top of the cake and moisten it as well. This gives the cake moisture to absorb as it fruits. It helps a lot. Look up DEC or Double End Casing.
