![]() ![]() | Cloning w/ Cardboard
FOAF recently used Hips cardbaord cloning method: http://forums.mycotopia.net/cloning/...oning-tek.html (cardboard cloning tek) Besides wanting to put it back out there because it works great and is easy, my FOAF had a question. In Hip's tek you use a 1''x1'' piece of cardboard, and then when it is fully colonized you can use it for innoculating jars. Just how much of that 1 square inch would be needed to knock up say, a quart of rye? If anyone has an answer it would be greatly appreciated.

when using live tissue for inoc you wont need much at all. the shit is resilient as hell though. i have never used this tek before though i will now. just think about how much LC you use when for inoc.... but if i were to be in your situation i would make sure that i get at least 4 inoc points out of each layer of cardboard soooooo 2 layers i would noc up 8 jars

1"x1" media could be cut up into quarters, one square per quart of grain, I would cut the square in half as well, two halves of a quarter square. Dump em in your jar quickly, shake it up real well, and there you go. Be very sterile when innoculating grain!
