Dunk after each flush???

I was wonderin if you're supposed to dunk after each flush, because I just had one flush and the cake is not fruiting anymore.

It's usually a good idea.
Kinda like a recharge for the sub.
From what I've seen, it never hurts.
Quite the opposite actually.

Honestly, I perfer dunking before the first flush for like a hour or 2 just to replace any moisture lost during colonization and after each flush.

not having a contaminated speciamen when you dunk. Other than that if the cakes is clean and fully colonized, or bulk sub for that matter then you should have no issues.

One time i did the dunk with cakes that had no contams at all, but after the dunk I saw them all have cob web mold. any reason for this? The cakes showed no signs of cobweb before the dunk. by the way thanks for the info.

Cob web loves CO2 the cobweb could have already been there and you dunking gave it what it needed to begin growing or it could have gotten onto the cakes when you removed them or it could have been on your hands and you transfered it to the cakes, (I always wash my hands to my elbows with 91% iso before touching my cakes and subs) also, its always a good idea to boil your tap water that you are gonna dunk with and let it cool then dunk, this will decrease your chances of a contamniate.

I just make sure container is clean. I wipe down with alcohol, let dry, then dump some boiling water in it and seal with whatever lid it is that you use and let it sit for 30 minutes or so.
