Happy go lucky update...

I just felt like showing the masses my current progress...

The other day I did a joint inoculation op with a buddy and we filled my TiT as well as his...

As you can see, I'm using rye grass seed and it's coming along great. I think I may have stumbled upon perfect moisture without dealing with measurements. Somewhere in the vaults it said 2 cups seed to 1 cup water, but that's wet as hell... I'd post my measurements if I took em, but it was all done by touch...and looks great.

I have enclosed pics of the TiT, one of my cased cups (barely seeing fuzz on top), my uncased cup in the FC, one of my BRF jars (I like grass seed more so far), and a few pics of the almost fully colonized seed jars...

My cups from my first effort so far have had a 30% success rate (cause I didn't put real effort into sterile procedure) and the jars from my 2nd attempt are 100% success.

Unfortunately, since I'm using a camera phone, you can't see the fat rhizo in the jars, but I have ropes on ropes with dense ropes around them... Less then 50% of the myc is poofy...

Made my buddy jealous, he says my jars look better than most of his...LOL!

I can't wait for my jars to be done though, cause while he was here, he made me a couple syringes... Penis Envy, and NAN "bing" strain.

The "bing" history as I understand, was printed from wild mushrooms in 1 state, then he got hooked up, and hooked me up. Supposedly, I'm 1 of like 6 people that have this strain, and look forward to trying it.

1 question though, for my uncased cup, how often do people like misting those? As you can see, I have some bubblers going in the FC to help humidity, and when I get my first paycheck, I plan on buying some perlite.

Those jars are looking good Boboso! As far as misting goes as long as the sides of the fruiting chamber have condensation you are generally fine. Maybe indirectly mist once or twice a day. Uncased cakes like high RH ime, hell cakes in general seem to like it. What do you plan on doing with the seed jars?

I'm gonna take the advice you gave me a while back, I'm gonna smush em a lil bit sideways, and case em. You didn't say to smush em, but since it'll all be under the bed when I'm not home, I don't want to have em rolling around when I pull the FC out for daily maintenance.

You should find a little poo for the seed jars and do a small bulk practice experiment. Easy as pie. I REALLY like Eatyualives oven pasteurization tek. Too easy. It beats a big old sloppy pillowcase of shit on the oven, buying a steamer, etc. if you ask me. You can find it in his usernotes if you see one of his posts, its in his sig.

Just do a small test run in a little tub like this one. I used a 1/2 pint cake to a little less than 1 pt of poo and maybe 1/2 pint of vermiculite. I got the poo/verm mix wet to where if I squeezed it in my hands a weak little stream of water came out, maybe 8-10 drops, then wrapped it in aluminum foil and put in the oven at 175 ish for 1.5 hours. Ground up the cake by hand and mixed it all up maybe 1.5 weeks ago or so. I think it's starting to knot up and I'd be willing to bet it will do much better than that cake would have done alone. Good practice too for moisture content. I think this little tub cost me maybe 2 bucks as well. I just used black duct tape around the bottom to block the light, let it sit in the incubator for a little bit and thats it. Might be good practice for one of those seed jars

OMG! I love the pic, it just screams stoner pad! Between the tyvek on the left, the unopened jars on the right, lighter on the floor, and naptha in the back left, I don't know what to say!

Kinda reminds me of my bedroom minus the water bottles...

some really fucked up girl spaced out the other day then as we keep talking ,finished smoking, she came too after like 2 minutes just starring and had too leave --she walked out one room and right into my bedroom. the lights were off and thank god she was fucked up bad on something before she came over cause she couldn't turn the light on but just stand there and star in the dark until i could kinda push her out .....nobody saw nottin tho
