![]() | possible contam?
SWIM decided he'd give growing mushrooms a shot, so he cooked up 10 cakes using the brf tek. The strains used was a high yielding wolly and a pretty nice wolly mycelium culture (First flush). No contams were seen before the first flush (200g+ fresh) in SWIMs sweaty apartment either. My question is this. SWIM told me he was carrying a cake in his bag. It was ready for a flush, but there was purple (?) bruising on it. All I know is, the color was a purple/blue and maybe some fuzz, but SWIM wasn't sure if it was part of the unidentified stuff, but it is definitely not Trich. I remember reading contam ID threads in the past, although I don't believe what SWIM has is a contamination. So, is it a contam? I'll be sure to get some pictures from swim and post them here in the future. p.s. Also, SWIM isn't sure if the possibly contaminated jar of mycelial growth was the cambodian or wollongon strain, so keep that in mind... |

Q-tip test perhaps? If it wipes of it's contam, if not, it's bruise. Pics would be great... Then the pros (not I) can help ya.
