Gotta love the tenacity of those oysters. I've had them grow right thru filter discs and even stranger was when i found i jar with sterilized grain that i put aside until some other spores arrived half colonized with oyster mycelium. I had put it in a FC that oysters had been grown in.

Thanks for the comments, About the same time as i stuffed some leftoverr spawn into a couple gallon pot with woodchips and sawdust and a bit of verm on top and just left it outside, a few days back i dumped it on a tray to let some air in and today it is pinning up a storm. even a little unattached woodchip has pins on it. And yes Hitchicker is a wonderful book. Slart |
