Straw log tek question

So I am thinking of doing the straw log tek soon, after I purchase the plastic which use to be $85 and now is about $110. Any who...
I was wondering if I could use WBS or if I should still stick with popcorn?

I am not sure but I think you could use a oven bag to make a straw tek log mate, much cheaper. Of course the plastic is only maybe 6ml but I think it would work.

I like WBS better because It spreads thru the straw better and you have many more points of contact and quicker colonization.

How many bags come with a 110$ order these days? I last bought some about three years ago. I dont remember the cost.

For $110 you get 1075' of 8" plastic tubeing, from ww grainger.

Thanx. Yea that is a different bagging method than i use. Mine look like a two gal. zip lock without the zip and made for PC.

I guess you trim yours to size of the log you want like some oyster mushroom growers do. Seems like that's a cheaper way to buy.

The type of grain spawn doesn't really matter, SWIM has used plenty of different grains in straw logs..
