When to open the bag

I've grown in bags for a while and always opened and fanned them a couple times a day as soon as they look fully colonized. I just read that CO2 buildup increases the formation of pins. Should I hold off on opening and fanning the bags until after pins form? I have had some bags fruit without ever being opened so I know they will form. Also, I think I remember reading that light helps form pins so should I put them sealed under the light until the pins form and then fan and mist?

As soon as my stuff is done colonizing and I decide to put it into fruiting conditions I give it light to initiate pinning and fan as well.

Personally, I would recommend opening up the bag and putting them under light. I have read plenty on CO2, and most folks say that it slows down production, and pinning. I am not one hundred percent sure as to how true this is, but I can sure tell you I have had much success with good ventilation.

By the way, Co2 usually goes to the bottom as it is heavier than oxygen. does the pinning and fruiting that you have had happen in the bottom of the cake in the bag or the top?

I believe a certain amount of co2 buildup is good for colonization and that is why when you introduce it to the fruiting stage you give it fresh air and light. Im no expert I just read the directions on the box lol.

Excess CO2 helps for colonization. Once pinset happens fresh air and a little light.

All over the cake but mostly at the top.
