Hey all my fellow mycophages. I'm trying my first bulk grows now that I've got a feel for the right moisture/humidity conditions with the PF tek. I do have a few questions, if you don't mind. I've noticed that with the Cambodia strain I am working with it is highly hyphal. Is this a natural phenomenon with this strain or is it simply my isolation technique on agar ? I first started just snatching aggressive fast growing mycelia on agar and not the really hyphal tissue. This was how this batch was done but it has apparently come out very well so I pose the question that is this a common occurrence with this strain or just blind luck on my part? This strain has been the hardiest of all my isolates with B+ taking a close second. I'm opt to believe it's just isolation technique and blind luck. One last question, should I wait one week after full colonization with my 1/3 manure + 2/3 straw + gypsum to ~ pH 8.0 tub. As you can see he's pretty colonized (just a few spots here and there). I was hoping to birth one this weekend. Should I wait another week or give her a go. Shit I got another tub of this strain too. Probably wouldn't hurt??? Or would it? I'm not going to be using a casing and will dunk for one hour. Thanks.

I don't think it would hurt anything to expose it to light and fresh air. The bottom part of that tub will finish shortly. Are you planning on blacking out the sides of that container somehow? If not you are going to get a lot of side pinning.

from what I understand, the mycelia will enter into fruiting stage as soon as the conditions are right meaning the colonization process is not a priority anymore if in needs of nutrients it might do so in later flushes, correct me if Im wrong hope this grow goes well for you, have fun

I think I will try one with dunk (one hour) and one without. There appears to be much condensation still on my substrate. I've got high expectations for Cambodia here. Of all of my isolates this one is extremely hyphal. Hurry up and grow darn you .
