B+ My first casing questions

Hi I made an incubator out of a mini fridge and inoculated 46 500ml rye seed jars only 1 jar had contam. Now that they are fully colonized I purchased some tinfoil pans and have a couple clear rubbermaid containers with 4 inches of wet perlight with a bit of hydrogen peroxide. I poured 6 rye seed jars with 1.5 jars of casing over top so about half an inch. My casing consists of 10 parts vermiculite 10 parts peat and 1 part gypsum which has been sterilized. I kept the tinfoil pans covered with air holes. I incubated the pans at the same temp in the fridge with the other jars 86F and after 5 days when they looked like the first picture about 30 percent colonized I put them into the fruiting chamber. the fruiting chamber is 99% humidity at 74-76F. I spray them with steralized water everyday as well as the sides of the FC. I was wondering if i'm remotley close to being pointed in the right direction? Do my pans look alright? How long does B+ usually take to pin. I had some cakes and they took about 15-17 days should this way be faster? Thank you for all the help

I might suggest lowering the humidity to around 90%. The pan looks fine, just make sure theres at least some light source to help initiate pinning. Good luck!

Thank you very much steil and I have it on a 12 on 12 off with a dayglow tube. But I was still wondering how long it normally takes to pin? I started fruiting 5 days after being in the incubator and it has been 2 days in the fruiting chamber... I was wondering would it be a week or 2 cause I had some cakes that it's been 2 weeks and I fan humidity is high 12 hours a day of light but still nothing....

This strain seems to be quite slow to me as well. Good colonizer but slow pinner. On the other hand they're really though so sooner or later you'll see pins.

I recently had a B+ bulk grow in aluminum pans same as you, and i saw pins in 6 days after putting them into the FC. After pinning the mushroom grew really fast. My substrate was mainly hpoo with a few things added for flavour. Cased using a 50/50 coir/verm layer. The attached link will take you to the grow log for that grow. Else your trays look great!

Yup my B+ in two tubs first try with that strain ever pinned 6 days exactly. Fruit now if you aren't already. IME for a tray with a casing layer that looks a little thick on top. When I used to do casings I would give it light and FAE either right when cased or the second I saw mycelium poking through the casing. Not sure if that is right or not but it worked for me.

Thank you all very much for your input. Lol I guess patience is key. Oh and i'm having problems putting pictures with my posts it will load half way then say page cannot be displayed. I want to show people step by step how to make a mini fridge incubator. Mine works awesome stays within .2f and holds 46 500ml jars of spawn or 2 pans of casing and 30 500ml jars anyways i'll try to post a pic with this.

It would be cool to see a nice writeup. I have a mini fridge that I am using as an end table right now that I am considering using as an incubator.
