Mycelium growing inside of syringe?

I just came across a syringe I had dropped into my desk drawer about a month ago. The syringe was never opened. It appears to have ropey strands floating in it.

Have the spores incubated, and is what I see the myc growing? Have I wasted a syringe, or is there a way to salvage this?

I hadn't planned on using the syringe until my present batch of BRF cakes were nearer their end. As my current cakes are just days away from birthing, that was to be several weeks from now.

This happens on occasion and is still usable.
I suggest making a LC from about .5cc of the syringe and
you could easily grow out enough myc in the LC to noc more than a few jars.

Thanks for the positive news. It seems I'm going to step a little deeper and a little more quickly into the hobby than I had planned.

Now onto more reading... LC. "Just goes to show that if it's not one thing, it's another, and if it's not that, it's something else."

I'm sorry to have posted a question already answered in past posts, but my initial searches were unproductive. I've since found them.

You can also just put the syringe in the refrigerator if you don't want to make an LC. It should keep until you are ready to nocc up more jars. The only issue might be the mycelium clogging the needle when you go to shoot if you have a small gauge needle on the syringe.
