![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Nice fruits you have thereMultispore I'm guessing? What substrate did you use? What temps and how often was FAE? A little more info and I might be able to help. Off MS PE for me there was a nice pin set with a decent forest of them but the caps won't open all the way and fill a canopy. Try making a new LC/shoot up a new set of spawn. Or you could clone one of those guys. |

I would clone one of those large mushrooms in the cluster into an LC. You would get a good amount of clone material grain jars from that, and it would be available pretty quickly, without having to do multiple G2G transfers to build a good amount of spawn.

I would call that a beautiful flush of PE. It is a persnickity strain and frequently does much worse that what you got. You'll never get a full canopy with PE - the caps don't open up to block things. I wouldn't change a thing if I were you. The results you picture are outstanding.

In SWIM's experience, with PE from multispore, they don't often give huge uniform flushes, and often grow in spotty parts over the substrate. They are often denser and heavier than many strains, which can almost make them equal out, and the trip and potency can also help make up for the minor reduction in yield. However, if one was to try and isolate many substrains, then fruit each culture to find the very best, he believes that one could find the ideal substrain to pull off those killer, large, uniform flushes, all of those beautiful shrooms. Just probably not something to expect from multispore, with PE. Another thing, these are probably one of the best races to try and clone some isolate, to keep it for a long time, as they are extremely hard to collect spores from, making cloning/isolation probably the best avenue for keeping this strain in one's library for a long time.

Here is a really good thread Freakachino did on a PE strain isolation project: http://forums.mycotopia.net/agar-str...ttempt-pe.html (My first strain isolation attempt, PE) If you ever wondered why somebody would isolate, that thread is a perfect explanation.

WOW! those are some good PE genes. definitely clone them. you WON'T be sorry. PE is a fun strain, in so many ways.....good luck. and if you do get some prints and want to trade let us (me) know, or donate to the site. can't have too many PE prints going around.

Im gonna go against and say that was not a great flush. Any fruits popping up is ok for sure, but that was not great or even good, just ok. ANd sometimes ok is good enough. This is a good PE flush ![]() just something to shoot for. PE loves wheat straw

Is this from multispore, isolate, or clone?

Thanks for the good vibes guys. My next step is to get and try to do agar. a buddy of mines has been telling me that for a year. so i guess it time for me to listen to wiser heads. but since i have no agar as of yet i will take some of the inner tissue and put in one of my port pint jars and shoot up some popcorn. And thanks Buck comming from you that was like winning a blue ribbon i read your stuff all the time ![]() ![]() |

Killaweed - consider your blue ribbon awarded with two gold stars and a smiley sticker. I've seen many a talented grower struggle with PE. I still say that is a damned good flush. The fruits are very large compared to the substrate. And there are what, two aborts in that flush? Both of em also look 3 or 4 inches long... Marmy's pic is nice (kinda huge) but so is yours, Killa. ![]() Those are some huge, sweet freakin' pee-nuses!

I calls 'em likes I sees 'em, man. I'm real in touch with my feminine side. I cry like a bitch real regular like... Future flushes - try to print every cap. And mail one to Hip! PE prints are worth a lot in the OMC, man.

while I have seen some big weiners, that one is super huge. I have only seen multi spore used on the PE so far. I have noticed that 3 quarts of spawn were used to mix with the substrate. The substrate usually consisted of wheat straw and bagged compost with manure. At times pc'd vermiculite and coir were mixed in. It appeared that the higher ratios of wheat straw produced more and consistent fruits with more flushes. More compost brought about less flushes. The ratio has always been a little random, but you could guess at usually between 70 and 80% wheat straw. But i will attest that the person that has had success with pe from day one is a total noob and probably got lucky that they found a good way from the get go. normal cubensis temps etc.
