hey just wondering if innoculating brf cakes while they are still hot can affect anything..

At almost every stage in this hobby, what kills the project or retards the results is... impatience. Particularly with hot jars, the trick is you must learn to "chill"...

If you can't hold it against your face for 30 seconds comfortably, don't inoculate it.

Living mycelia (LCs and slurrys) dies at 107F. Spores are a little more durable, but not a lot.

After Inoculating 2 half pint jars and trying to make 2 liquid cultures im convinced that my spore syringes got super heated in the usps truck and died. I suppose i shouldn't order in the summer when its 102 outside.
