Hey all quick question... I was trolling my local 24 hour megachain this morning for new tubs when I stumbled across the biggest ziploc bags I'd ever seen, These things measure 36" x 36" and I just had to grab them for my next bulk project. Problem is I've never done bags before, and I have no idea what to do about FAE with these? Can I just leave them as is like my jars? If strain makes any difference I have monotubs of B+, GT, and and PE at the moment. Okay so evidently my quick question was a bit long winded but hope you made it to the end. Thanks in advance and it's great to be back on this site.... ![]() DH

You could either do FAE manually, or you could cut about half the height off the bag and make sandbag style FC. <<http://forums.mycotopia.net/growing-...ndbag-tek.html (Sandbag Tek)>> |

Thanks Coyote, me thinks I'll just slap a few filter discs on the side I'm not a huge fan of poly, but hey one never knows. Now if only the poo can pasteurize quicker I'll be getting this show on the road...

FOAF has been using Hippie's myco-bags with great success, and once they're colonized, he just cuts a slit near the top of the bag, squeezes gently 2-3 times for FAE, then seals it up with a strip of duct tape. If your bags are zip-loc, that takes care of the resealing problem. He does FAE several times a day whenever he gets the chance.
