![]() ![]() | Straw Log ?s
My first straw log. Strain is HB. MS on Hopi Blue Corn-Straw. Log constructed on 8-18, first pin on 9-4. FAE is usually done 4 times a day, Temps are between 72F-74F. How long, on average, does it take pins to mature on a straw log? Probably just impatient, but I'm curious how much larger they will get because its day 6 and they are just starting to bulk up. My cakes started bulking up around the 3rd day and finished on about the 7th day.

Probably 2-3 more days before they are mature, but humidity and temps can play a factor. Just check them periodically until you see the caps open, they seem to be progressing normally.
