Is this ready to fruit?

This is my second attempt at a grow. This tray was made 8 days ago, can someone tell if if it is ready to fruit?

If it isn't, should I just cover loosely with foil or foil and the lid? I have had to tilt it a couple of time to get moisture out with a paper towel.

is that a casing? or uncased bulk sub?

Uncased, Just mixed my colonized rye grain with coir/verm...about a 1:3 ratio.

Why, does it look bad?
