I have been looking around for cheap LED strips and could not find any in my price range. http://www.oznium.com/led-ribbon These are already set for 12V and have hookup wires on both ends (for daisy chaining) and can be cut every 3 led for smaller strips.

If you can see in the room, its enough light to trigger pinning. Fancy light set ups are neat, but not necessary for optimum growth. Lets see some pics if you get it hooked up though..

Start with a small number of 'em to test in high humidity. I played around with daisy chained LEDs years ago but found that corrosion on the leads became an issue very quickly inside the FC.

Something like this would work perfect for me, as my tubs are in a closet with a 1.5cm clearance between the next shelf (thankfully, they just fit!). But the price tag makes me want to just roll my own, since I'd probably end up spending close to $80 between 4x 1ft sections and shipping.

It is if you can spare the time buying from HK or USA (not living in either).. my need is time-sensitive, hehe The ones glass posted are awesome because of how robust they are.

Sure - anything that covered the leads would probably work.

i found some LED xmas lights on ebay really cheap. lightweight and very bright with low power draw. plenty of bulbs for a couple of tubs, and wouldn't need battery replacement. also has novelty flashing modes when you want to trip your little guys out before they pin ![]() http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-WHITE-100-LE...d=p4999.c0.m14 |
