![]() | Mutant Orrisas on BRF
I had a whole set of Orrisas grown on BRF cakes turn mutant. Every cake fruited with short stubby barrels that had no gills under the small cap. Some of the cakes also have big tumor like masses of myceliuim. The Texans and Amazons showed no signs of the mutation so I'm sure it's genetic. Sorry, no pics. Anybody have similar mutations? |

To the best of my knowledge Orissa's won't fruit well on any substrate other than poo. I've used BRF cakes as spawn to innoc trays of HPoo/verm but have never tried fruiting Orissa's straight from BRF cakes. Good success from Hpoo. May be some kind of contam, hard to tell without pics. Moose |
