Hello, I never built a Drying chamber before. I have bought a 4 inch fan from Radio shack and also a 110mm filter disc. I am going to use Drierite and wounder if I should put the fan on top of the container and have air blowing in? Im not sure on where to put the fan. Thank you.

I think a sealed chamber would be best. Air dry them with a fan first and then finish them off in a sealed container with the desicant. If you can manage, put the shrooms on a rack over a layer of drierite.

I always fan dry on a screen first when ready I put them in a rubbermade box lined with wax paper I used damprid & a computer fan inside the box no holes blowing down takes about 2 full days but they end up dry as crackers

Can't remember the guage but it's not hard to figure out. You need three types of screen. The first is the thickest as it needs to hold the weight of the dessicant which becomes water logged. It needs to be pretty sturdy. You may need pliers to bend it. The layer that holds the shrooms can be fairly thin. You shoul be able to bend it with your fingers. Since the shrooms are going in half dried from the fan they don't weigh that much. Then you need two sheets of non-organic cloth. They go over each of the screens. You need it to stop the dessicant from falling through but also to stop the shrooms from catching on the bars of their screen. Trust me on this. They're just like little grappling hooks.

just lay them out on newspaper(absorbent) and put a fan on them for a full day or 2 then buy some damprid and make some damprid pouches out of paper towels put those and the fan dried shrooms in a sealed off container for like half a day or so and done its simple
