PC fan hanging from the lid by thread, the fan points away from the substrate so it is minimal simply pulling gases away from the substrate rather than letting them settle. This seems to affect the end results when mixed with hand misting but it is not easy to time. I am late casing the tray at this stage with vermiculite to prevent pins from aborting.

Do I have to wait for the veils to tear before I can supplement with hand mistings? I have heard from another souce that you can supplement with misting every 6 hrs so long as you have adequate gas exchange.

All input appreciated, thanks guys.

I wouldn't mist at all. If you think the sub is dry, you could inject some sterile water. Standing water on mycelium is not good.

From what I can see in the tubs, They don't look a bit dry and the mycelium is taking over nicely but, if you feel the need as MLBJammer said, just inject a lil of sterile water. Just make sure their is no standing pool of water because that can invite contamns. Good Luck! You got go vibes coming to ya for a very healthy and happy harvest.

I wouldn't do anything different than what you are doing right now.

That is a good pin set.

With a good pin set, you have many pins that will abort. To me, the definiton of "good pin set" means about 20%-40% of the pins will abort.

Aborts are not a negative function of growing 'shrooms. Every pin, even under ideal circumstances will not become a huge fruit.

"Natural" patches of cubensis have aborts and small specimens.
